What We Believe

our Beliefs
are centered around jesus

Scripture
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible Word of God.
The Trinity
We believe in one living and true sovereign God, Creator of all things, who eternally exists as a Trinity of equally divine persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - who are equal in deity, power, and glory. (Genesis 1:1; Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 44:8, 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 1:1-3; John 10:30; 2 Cor. 13:14; Rev. 4:11; Heb. 1:3; 1 Cor. 8:6)
The Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He made man, male and female, in His image and relates to people as Father, thereby forever declaring His goodwill towards us. He is sovereign over all, and is loving and just as He forgives the repentant and condemns the unrepentant, saving from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Ps. 68:5; Isa. 64:8; Mt. 5:45; 7:11; Jn. 3:17; Rom. 8:15; 1 Pet. 1:17; Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2, 102:27; John 3:16, 4:24; I Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.  We acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ over all things in Heaven and on earth and under the earth. (Philippians 2:9-10; 1 Timothy 3:16)
Holy Spirit
We believe that the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit empowers us for a life that produces fruit and for the work of the ministry. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the manifestations of the gifts, which are distributed to each individual by the Holy Spirit as He wills, for the common good of the body of Christ and to glorify Jesus.
(1 Cor. 12:4; Eph. 4:11; Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Pet 4:10-11)

Christ's Return
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Mark 13:32; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; John 14:3; 1 Cor. 15; Rev. 1:7)
Mankind
We believe God created humans in his image, which is both male and female, and made them co- rulers over the rest of creation. (Genesis 1:26 - 27.)
Sin
We believe humans willingly chose to rebel against God, which resulted in sin and death entering the world. Though we are held as slaves to sin until we are set free by Jesus Christ, we continue to bear the image of God.  (Romans 5:12 – 21)
Salvation
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. (Heb. 9:22; Rom. 10:9-10, 13)
Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is a process which is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, by faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union with Christ, and by offering every faculty continually to the ruling power of the Holy Spirit which produces holiness of heart and life.
(Rom. 6:1-11, 13; 8:1-2, 13; Gal. 2:20; Phil. 2:12-13; 1 Peter 1:5)
The Church
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ, are united together in the body of Christ of which He is Lord and Head, and are commissioned for the God-given task of proclaiming the gospel to every person. (Acts 2:41-42; Rom. 12:5; Eph. 1:22-23; 5:23-24; 1Cor. 12:12-14; 2Cor. 11:2; Acts 14:27)
Dedication of Children
We believe in the dedication of little children as observed in Scriptures. (I Samuel 1:28)
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion which identifies us with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is an outward expression of an inward surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
(Rom. 6:1-6; Col. 2:11-13)
Communion
We believe in the practice of observing the Lord’s supper regularly as practiced in the Scriptures and that it should be open to all who have made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. (Luke 22:19-20; 1Cor. 11:23-24)
Judgement
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment. (John 5:28-29; Rev. 20:15)
